Mirror, mirror on the wall, how fabulous am I?
The mistake we see many womenpreneurs make is the disconnect between who they say they are, and how they actually appear to be.
The quality of being authentic; genuineness.
Sometimes you’re chasing a vision of who you want to be vs. who you actually are. More often, you don’t even realize all the amazing ways you serve others because you are just busy being you! To the consumer a brand that doesn’t quite match the experience can be confusing. To your business, it’s quicksand.
At Brand HER we believe it’s integral to the success of any business to gain clarity around what you stand for, connect your genuine essence and values to a clearly defined roadmap and establish the trust that will catapult your business in the right direction.
One tool we use to seek and find genuine themes we can trust in crafting a brand is an exercise we call The Mirror. In this exercise we ask you to acquire specific feedback from three-five people whom you respect, allow you to feel like yourself, and who know you in a well-rounded way. These can be trusted advisers, champions, past clients, long-term/honest friends or colleagues. Asking these questions is courageous, however our experience has been that this provides a profound feedback loop for our clients and ensures the brand we create matches other’s experience of you. Voila! Authenticity.
This exercise is not to toughen you up, or even gain constructive criticism. Its purpose is to allow you (and us) to see YOU more fully and with more clarity. Allow genuine feedback from your tribe.
Another creative way we help clients connect with their essence is to inspire them to design their very own Manifesto. Some the of most successful companies have learned that exploring and sharing their values and philosophies helps their clients connect and ultimately drives sales as well. People purchase based on need AND emotion. Why not help them along?
