I had a wonderful conversation with a new client today which inadvertently sparked this SWEET new brand equation; YOU + your business = magic. Women in business are crossing centuries old boundaries with a vengeance. The seriousness of banking might be tempered with humour. Diving deep with a Business Coach can be sprinkled with joy and adventure. Human Resources is waking up to a social make-over. Or in the case of one of my adored clients, stitches meet stilettos meet island retreats as she reinvents what knitting looks like in the 21st Century. The birth of a new economy where anything goes means your edge might be those irregular bits you never thought would spill over into your professional life.
Being all of YOU— all of the time works in our increasingly connected world. The work/play/ personal paradigm is the new melting pot. Would it feel better if you found that sweet spot which allowed you to be yourself at the family picnic, on Facebook AND at the high-powered meeting?
I guess the bigger question is; does your current brand make room for ALL of you? I love what I do specifically for this reason. Infusing a woman’s essence into her brand is… well, some equations just make sense.
